ChkPlan for building departments

ChkPlan is site plan review software for county and city plan review offices. It checks each submission against your own applicant checklist, item by item, cites the sheet behind every finding, and leaves every decision to your reviewers, with a complete record of who decided what.

The same answer, whoever picks up the set

Every comment carries its checklist line, the requirement word for word, the code reference and the sheet where the evidence was found. Applicants get the same finding for the same miss no matter which reviewer opened the set, and a reviewer can check any finding in seconds by opening its evidence on the sheet.

Your checklist, your editions

The rulebook is the jurisdiction's own applicant checklist, item by item. Each item carries its edition date, every run records which edition it used, and when the department rules on how an item is read, the ruling is recorded on that item where reviewers can see it. Nothing is checked against a generic code library instead of your checklist.

A person decides every comment

ChkPlan recommends; reviewers decide. Every comment is approved, changed or rejected by a reviewer before the letter goes out, and nothing issues without a decision on record, or a reviewer's written override reason stored with the letter. ChkPlan does not approve or reject a plan on its own and does not check engineering calculations.

A record for audits and records requests

Every verdict and model call is kept in the run record, every reviewer decision and override is written to a hash-chained log, and every issued file is recorded with its SHA-256, so a later copy can be checked against what was issued. Plans are hosted in the United States on encrypted storage in a single-tenant environment and are never used to train any model. The security page has the detail.

Catch incomplete sets at the first review

ChkPlan checks every item on the checklist, cross-checks the applicant's own checklist against the sheets it references, and flags duplicate, unreadable and unnumbered sheets, so incomplete sets are caught at minimum submission review rather than later.
